BAOMA ColorFlor is a water based high performance concrete floor coating that features exceptional hardness yet sufficiently flexible to withstand the effects of impact and abrasion on the coating surface. It is a specially designed green product that has less of an environmental impact and less detrimental to human health. It is non-skid, highly durable, fast drying, weather & water resistant, having excellent adhesion property, making it suitable for outdoor and indoor protection of concrete floor surfaces such as sports court, children playground, parking lot, bicycle lane, warehouse & etc.

* It is recommended to dilute the primer coat (BAOMA ColorFlor) with 15% water as to provide better penetration & adhesion to concrete surface.

Surface Preparation

Ensure the surface to be painted is clean, dry and free from dirt, oil, grease and other contaminants. Remove all loose or powdery residues by brushing or scraping with a stiff fibre brush under running water or by using high pressure water jet. Areas affected by mould, lichen, algae or fungus must be treated with MCI Micro Kill. Repair defects with a suitable filler or putty. Avoid painting where surface is high in moisture content or during wet weather. Recommended painting specification requires moisture content of the surface is below 16% (tested with Protimeter) and alkalinity below pH9.

For optimum performance, priming of 1 coat BAOMA ColorFlor Hi-Bond Primer 2500 or BAOMA Excila 1900 or BENZi Excelbond is highly recommended before over-coating with 2 coats BAOMA ColorFlor.

Film Finish :  Low Sheen
Touch Dry :  30 minutes (depends on temperature and humidity)
Recoating Interval :  2 hours
Theoretical Coverage :  8 - 9 m2 / litre / coat (actual coverage is dependent on loss factors)
No. of Coat :  Minimum 2 coats (depends on color)
Application :  Brush or roller
Thinning :  Use clean water, dilute up to 5% of water if necessary

 

Safety, Health & Environment

Ensure good ventilation during painting, do not breathe vapour or spray mist. Keep doors and windows open during application and drying. It is advisable to wear mask and eyes protector while applying. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. In case of accidental ingestion, DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING, seek immediate medical advice. To remove splashes of paint from skin by using water and soap or skin care product. Do not empty paint into drains or water courses, dispose of any paint waste in accordance with the appropriate Environmental Quality Regulations.
